Frequently Asked Questions
Q: For which comp. courses do you offer materials?
A: The traditional freshman first and second semester comp. courses (often called ENG 101 and ENG 102) based on one semester of research and one semester that may or may not incorporate the study of literature (fiction, poetry, drama). Plus, we be adding materrials for the traditional prerequisite developmental/remedial course students take when unable to “test into” college-level composition.
Q: Do you offer a free trial?
A: To help you get a feel for how our course materials can help you get more done in less time, we offer a free download of any individual course material of your choice. Sign up here to take advantage of this opportunity.
Q: Can I customize these course materials?
A: Yes. And with minimal effort or technological skill. Click here for an easy guide on how to customize our materials.
Q: Will students or colleagues know these materials are from EA?
A: No. There is no branding on any of our materials and everything is fully customizable if/when you so choose to change colors, formatting, etc. Note: Some documents and PowerPoints include INSTRUCTOR DIRECTIONS or sections highlighted in yellow that require customization or deleting, so you’ll want to view and familiarize yourself with the documents before presenting them to students.
Q: Will your materials work with any textbook?
A: Yes. With a few quick changes, you can customize the materials to your own textbook, assignment sheets, and instructional materials, but all the materials are also set-up to be used in a course that’s textbook-free, just in case.
Q: Do I need to be tech-savvy to use your materials?
A: No, as long as you can open an MS Word document or run a PowerPoint slideshow, you’ll be able to use and customize our materials semester after semester.
A: Unfortunately, no. Due to the nature of our digital products (irrevocable once you receive the files), they are non-refundable, which is why we offer a free download of any individual course material of your choice. Sign up here to take advantage of this opportunity to test out our products. We also recommend that you start small and purchase an assignment sheet or the Writing Process Package before jumping into purchasing a full semester worth of products.
Q: What other resources to you offer?
A: Our website is updated weekly with posts such as 6 Tips for Interviewing and Curriculum Development How-to because a confident adjunct reaching his/her full potential is also helping students reach their full potential. It’s a beautiful cycle of growth and giving, man.
Why We Exist
We consider EA a mentor providing you with resources and guidance to help you meet your excellent teaching potential. Use our customizable, reusable, yet ready-to-go materials in your course tomorrow, tweak them for next semester, then use them over and over.
Proven resources and templates can make good adjuncts into the excellent professors they are destined to be. Full-timers build a course once and improve it over time. But adjuncts are constantly assigned new courses with new expectations, sometimes days before the class begins and usually without direction. Too often this leads great teachers to burnout or career change. Teach at your potential. Change the lives you’re destined to change. Yours included.
